The process…
I have a Higher Diploma with distinction in Holistic Voice Therapy from the British Academy of Sound Therapy. This method has been refined over 25 years, drawing from global healing traditions and scientific research into the health benefits of entering an Altered State of Consciousness (ASC). This deep relaxation state, similar to daydreaming or the moments just before sleep, offers profound insights, facilitates cellular renewal, and reduces pain and stress, among myriad of other health benefits. It's a powerful tool for overcoming physical, mental, emotional, and behavioural blockages and providing relief from conditions and illnesses.
The sound medicine can work in two ways: passive sessions, where you lie down and receive a sound treatment, and active sessions, where we engage the voice, breath, movement, and visualisation together. Sessions are guided using a reflective practice, enabling a deeper understanding, and compassionate lens. This approach takes you deeper than a regular sound bath, offering the space to unpack what comes up and move forward in life.
I am Temenos trained. Temenos translates as 'sacred enclosure’ and in this training I received healing rites passed down through the lineage of the Q’ero, Peru to my teachers George Christie and Evelyn Brodie. I am equipped with practices rooted in ancient wisdom that support healing and transformation, particularly in addressing limiting beliefs and recurring life patterns. These practices include bodywork, working with the breath, soul retrieval, illuminations, rituals and ancestral work. The Temenos training mainly draws on work directly from the Q’ero, taught within Alberto Villoldo's Four Winds training programme.
I have found the synergy between this shamanic work and the sound medicine to be unique and powerful. Grounded in safety, curiosity, and non-judgment, this is a space for self-enquiry. You are the expert of your own journey, I am here to guide and hold space for the unseen and unheard parts. In a world where we often avoid difficult emotions or attempt to 'battle' our inner demons, this approach is compassionate, and inclusive of all our ‘parts’. It is solution-focused, aimed at supporting your growth, healing and wellbeing as you move forward in life.

“I used to have a phobia of injections and I now feel much calmer and in control when I have them. A wonderful and valuable experience that was a healthy release in a safe space. Would highly recommend”.

The sound of Bex’s voice relaxed me and took me into a state of feeling open and connected. We then started a gentle & deep process where the wisdom which was accessed was very much my own, but was encouraged and brought forth with supportive guidance. It felt easier to access than in usual states. I felt safe, held & comfortable throughout and had some very helpful realisations. I left feeling empowered and like a load had been lifted. I have since noticed ripples, especially my ability to evolve through specific challenges. I recommend this beautiful work with Bex so highly.

Bex is a very attuned therapist who listened and heard what I had to say, explaining clearly each step before taking me on a timeless journey through sound and her powerful voice. Thank you.

Bex created a very safe space to become open and be able to follow a thread to allow deep work. Trust and privacy was key to allow healing and Bex gave me confidence that this aligned with her values.

Bex’s work is unique because of her voice. At times when she was singing I went on an internal journey, which I don’t think would have been possible without her voice carrying me there. Having someone sing your soundbath feels very sacred, and personal, somehow.
